Kelliher Will Leave "No Stone Unturned" to Get Minnesota Back to Work

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – On the shores of the Mississippi River, DFL-endorsed candidate for Governor Margaret Anderson Kelliher kicked off a statewide “No Stone Unturned” jobs tour today. Kelliher will travel the state over the next several months discussing the challenges and opportunities facing Minnesota families, and collecting ideas for job creation in our state.

“As Governor, I will leave no stone unturned to get Minnesotans back to work,” said Kelliher. “I will wake up every day and do everything it takes to connect hard-working Minnesotans with good, meaningful work and a strong education. That’s what the ‘No Stone Unturned’ jobs tour is all about.”

Casey MacCallum, an energy auditor from Elko, Minnesota, joined Kelliher today to share his story with Minnesotans – a story not unfamiliar in today’s difficult economy. Casey, a working dad, was laid off in 2009 and was out of work for 11 months. But because of Kelliher’s leadership, MacCallum is working again today – doing meaningful work in a good-paying job with excellent health care.

“Almost 214,000 Minnesotans are still struggling every day to find work,” said MacCallum. “I know how that feels. That’s why I am supporting Margaret Anderson Kelliher to be our next Governor. Margaret helped me get back to work, and I know she will fight to do the same for others.”

Kelliher will hit the road tomorrow morning, making her first stops on the “No Stone Unturned” jobs tour in Duluth and Keewatin. She will also visit Faribault and Brainerd on Tuesday and Wednesday, and will hold a town hall meeting in Richfield Thursday night.

“As Governor, I won’t rest until 214,000 Minnesotans are back on the job,” said Kelliher. “That’s what is at stake in this election. That’s what I’m fighting for. And that’s why I’m running for Governor.”
