Building Trades, Pipefitters Endorse Kelliher for Governor
ST. PAUL, MN – Fifty thousand more hard-working union
members are standing with DFL-endorsed candidate for Governor Margaret Anderson
Kelliher. The Minnesota Building and Construction Trades Council and the
Minnesota Pipe Trades Association endorsed Kelliher today.
“There is only one candidate in this race who has the courage and the commitment to get Minnesota back to work,” said Harry Melander, president of the Minnesota Building and Construction Trades Council. “That candidate is Margaret Anderson Kelliher.”
The Minnesota Building and Construction Trades Council represents 50,000 unionized construction workers throughout Minnesota.
“Hard working Minnesotans know Margaret will do everything it takes to grow jobs in this state,” said Carl Crimmins, president of the Minnesota Pipe Trades Association. “Margaret has always stood up and fought for us. That’s why we are standing with her today as she fights to get Minnesota back to work.”
The Minnesota Pipe Trades Association represents 9,000 plumbers, pipefitters, sprinklerfitters, grassfitters, HVAC and service technicians throughout the state.
Kelliher has now earned the endorsement of 13 major labor partners, representing more than 250,000 hard working union members, including:
